What is Vaastu?

Vaastu or Vaastu Shastra is an ancient Indian science pertaining to architecture, designing and building that helps to create a congenial atmosphere at the place of living and work in the most scientific way. Q. Why one should sleep with the head pointing South?
The northern direction & the human head both are positive poles, due to which they repel each other. As such flow of magnetic energy is from north of south. So if the head is in the south the body will receive magnetic field from the feet, resulting in proper blood circulation, due to presence of iron in the blood.

Q. Why the north east corner of a house is so auspicious? Why should we keep it open?
Due to the 22½° tilt of the earth, the north east corner of a structure receives energy. During early morning when the sun is at its maximum distance from the earth, only infrared rays are able to reach the earth, which are beneficial for the human body.

Vaastu-tips

  • A plot with all corners at 90 degrees with 2 side road at the front and back is a good plot.
  • The open space left in north and east should be more than the open space left in the south and west.
  • The maximum construction should be done in South, West and southwest portion of the plot.
